Hello,
It’s Eileen Laubacher, the Democrat and retired U.S. Navy Admiral running against Lauren Boebert here in Colorado.
Benjamin Franklin famously said that our government would be “a republic, if you can keep it.” It was as much a promise about our new nation as a warning about how fragile it would be.
I’m running for Congress to defeat Lauren Boebert because I was just 17-years-old when I took an oath at the Naval Academy to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. And I knew even then what that oath meant.
I have never felt as much of a threat to our republic as I do right now. I think when Benjamin Franklin said those words, he was thinking about a period of time exactly like what we’re living through now.
Our democracy and our constitution are under attack from people like Lauren Boebert, and it is up to us – all of us – to do everything we can to defend it.
I never thought I’d run for Congress, but I’ve always felt called to serve. We can defeat Lauren Boebert and protect our republic, but I’m counting on grassroots donors like you to give now if I’m going to win:

I’m not taking money from corporate PACs, so any amount you can afford to give goes a long way.
Thank you,
Eileen
