One year ago this week, Senators Joe Manchin and John Barrasso introduced the Bipartisan Energy Permitting Reform Act, a bold, commonsense effort to modernize how America approves energy projects.

That was a critical first step. Outdated permitting rules continue to delay progress, stall investment, and block the growth our country is capable of. It’s not just frustrating, it’s costing us opportunities.

As Congress heads into August recess, we’re calling on lawmakers in both parties to come back ready to act. The time for talk is over. We need a bipartisan solution to get America moving again.
