Sadly, many survivors of sex trafficking know this all too well.

When M.L. was just 12-years-old, she was sex trafficked on craigslist.

Her traffickers

paid a fee to craigslist

in order to post their advertisements in the “Erotic Services” section.

No matter how despicable it was, the sex trafficking of a minor was very lucrative for craigslist.

When M.L. sued the website for being complicit in her sex trafficking, craigslist argued that they should be immune under the Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.
