My name is Naja, and I am Immigrants Rising’s new Wellness Support Groups Coordinator. Our Wellness Support Groups are back with a new format, and sign-ups are now open! Read on to learn more and visit our website ([link removed]) for more information.
The Wellness Support Groups are a closed, small online space led by trained mental health providers that meet for six weeks, all free to the community. If you are undocumented, 18 years or older, and a student at any post-high school educational institution in California, Arizona, Texas, Illinois, New York, or Florida, these groups might be for you!

Starting in August, the following groups will meet:
** Making New Friends

Starting your new chapter in college is hard. Moving away from home, feeling homesick and lonely, and finding your footing—all while undocumented? You deserve to be supported, celebrated, and heard, and you don’t have to go through it alone.
** Building Confidence & Self-Advocacy
------------------------------------------------------------
We know higher education systems are not built for us, and that means learning to stand up for ourselves, especially in uncertainty. You’re probably already showing up in many ways for yourself and others—learn new strategies to be a better advocate!
*Participants will decide what themes the group will discuss, because you know best what support you need.
** Coping with Uncertainty
------------------------------------------------------------
Higher education is a whole different terrain, but you don’t have to go through it alone! From issues with financial aid to grappling with isolation and needing to be resilient, this group will support you through it all.
** Love, Family, and Boundaries
------------------------------------------------------------
How do you navigate your mixed-status romantic and familial relationships while undocumented? Holding these complex relationships and pursuing education at the same time can be especially daunting. Build community, connect, and share stories with others navigating similar relationship dynamics!
*Participants will decide what themes the group will discuss, because you know best what support you need.
** Creative Expression for Healing

A busy schedule and amazing aspirations may keep you going, but can also disconnect you from yourself and others. Whether you are new to art or have been creating for years, this group welcomes you to join and express yourself.
The groups are designed to help undocumented individuals feel safe, grounded, and connected with others facing similar experiences through sharing, finding solidarity, and growing together. Register today. ([link removed])
