Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson is sending the House home early for summer recess to avoid a vote on releasing files related to Jeffrey Epstein, the sex offender and former Trump BFF.
Republicans are actively working to prevent Democrats from forcing the Justice Department to release information related to Epstein. As Johnson stated in a press conference, “we’re done being lectured on transparency.” It raises the question, why are they going to such lengths to cover up these files?
This is just another example of how House Republicans are willing to do anything to appease Trump and protect the mega-wealthy and well-connected. The American people deserve answers.
