As you have seen, the Texas Legislature’s special session began this week and redrawing congressional districts is on the agenda in the House and the Senate.
What do those districts look like? We don’t know yet. But the Houston Chronicle, among others, has identified Texas’ Seventh Congressional District as a likely target for Republican mapmakers .

The goal of President Trump, enabled by Texas Republicans—is simple: redraw the lines to create as many Republican seats as possible.
We don’t know yet what the maps will look like, but we know for sure that we are in nothing less than an existential fight to protect Texans, Americans, and democracy itself.
