Thursday 22 August - A Star Is Born (15) - Seasoned musician Jackson Maine (Cooper) discovers, and falls in love with, struggling artist Ally (Lady Gaga). On the verge of giving up on her dream, Jack coaxes her into the spotlight. As her career takes off, the relationship is breaking down, as Jack fights his own inner demons.
Saturday 24 August - Labyrinth (U) - Dance magic, dance! -Teenage Sarah journeys through a maze to recover her baby brother from a goblin king in this classic 80s flick with incredible upbeat musical numbers and the iconic, the beloved, David Bowie.
Sunday 25 August - Purple Rain (15) - Prince plays The Kid, struggling with his complicated home life and anger issues while seeking refuge in his music, his love for new singer Apollonia and his rivalry with Morris Day and The Time.
Capturing the magnetic live performances that propelled Prince into the mainstream, Purple Rain brings together a loosely autobiographical story with some of the strongest rock and pop hits of Prince’s career in on glorious bundle. Featuring the songs When Doves Cry, Let’s Go Crazy, I Would Die 4 U, and of course, Purple Rain.
Monday 26 August - Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again (PG) - Everyone is back for more ABBA inspired song and dance numbers! - When Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) discovers she is pregnant, she delves into a quest of discovery into her mother Donna’s (Meryl Streep and Lily James) past experiencing the fun that she had with her three possible dads (Pierce Brosnan/Jeremy Irvine, Colin Firth/Hugh Skinner and Stellan Skarsgard/Josh Dylan). And this time Grandma is visiting as Cher joins the stellar cast as Grandmother.

National Ice Centre (From 4pm)
Join the Nation’s Biggest Sports Day with the chance to play ice hockey for free.
The event taking place at the NIC will include an ice hockey taster session, off-ice skills challenge and family skating session – all free of charge.
There will also be family skating session and series of ice hockey taster sessions.
All equipment will be provided free of charge. No prior booking is necessary.

This year, the festival celebrates 31 years of Mela in the UK. The theme is Ilusions in Transit - exploring the journeys of people, art and society, and offering an exciting programme which captures the creative and cultural spirit of the city of Nottingham and the Midlands region. With a strong South Asian root, there is a constant theme of embracing an inclusive and vibrant society. The festival will include live performance, exhibitions, poetry, and a series of special community engagement commissions.
