Last week Congress voted to authorize over $500 million in aid to Israel including funding for their Iron Dome system. 

At the last minute, strange bedfellows ranging from MTG and Thomas Massie to Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib came together at the last minute to oppose the aid package. 

Sadly, not included among this bipartisan coalition was supposed “progressive” leader, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who instead voted to send military aid to Israel.



AOC’s vote has triggered massive backlash from her progressive base who feel betrayed. The vote even resulted in activists doing graffiti on one of her campaign offices in the Bronx with the message “AOC funds Genocide in GAZA.”

Moments like this are exactly why Clean up the Caucus was founded. We exist to ensure that members of the House Progressive Caucus like AOC face pressure when they vote in line with Israel. 

The only way we can ever hope to take on MAGA and the Democratic votes they’ve bought via AIPAC is if we clean up our side of the street first and give consequences to Progressive Caucus members who vote to support Israel.
