John,
With U.S. support, the Israeli government is committing mass violence against Palestinians—including Palestinian Americans—in Gaza as well as the West Bank.
Since October 2023, Israel’s government and extremist settler groups have killed at least five U.S. citizens in the West Bank, including 14-year-olds Amer Rabee and Omar Rabea.
This month, 20-year-old Sayfollah Musallet, a U.S. citizen who was born and raised in Florida, was visiting his family in the West Bank on summer vacation. There, Israeli settlers brutally beat him to death while soldiers watched, and the settlers and soldiers blocked an ambulance for hours.
Under this and past administrations, the U.S. government has not equally protected Americans abroad—looking the other way and staying silent when the Israeli government kills Americans.
Instead of pursuing justice for Sayfollah, our government continues to send billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to prop up the apartheid system that killed him and kills Palestinians like him every day. This is against the will of the American people, who overwhelmingly support holding the Israeli government accountable, across party lines.
Sign on to demand that our elected officials stop funding and arming the Israeli government’s violence and start protecting Americans’ lives.
In Gaza, Israel’s military is killing Palestinian children as they gather to get food and drinking water.
I keep asking, “Where is our humanity?” and I will keep speaking up for our shared humanity in Congress.
Recently I led 18 colleagues in sending a letter to urge the Trump administration to stop the Israeli government's mass starvation of Gaza and killing of hungry Palestinians. We demanded an immediate end to the blockade of Gaza, restoration of U.S. funding to UNRWA and unfettered humanitarian aid entry into Gaza, and more.
For nearly 80 years, Israel’s government has ethnically cleansed Palestinians and stolen Palestinian land. Now, Israel’s government is getting more explicit about encouraging violent mobs against Palestinians in the West Bank, including sending weapons to Israeli settlers.
The same week that settlers brutally killed Sayfollah Musallet, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu visited Washington D.C. for the third time since Trump started his latest presidential term.
Fourteen Republican and Democratic senators took a photo with the wanted war criminal, showing us that genocide is bipartisan. They’re increasingly out of touch with their base: Polls show that regardless of political affiliation, most Americans want the U.S. to limit or stop sending weapons to Israel.
In last week’s vote on military funding, only six U.S. Representatives voted to limit military aid to Israel. It’s time for federal leaders to listen to their constituents, stop supporting genocide and ethnic cleansing, and end their silence.
Please add your name to tell Congress: Stop U.S. military aid to Israel and defend Americans from the Israeli government’s deadly attacks!
Thank you for continuing to speak up for our shared humanity.
Together, we’ll keep demanding a world that values everyone’s lives equally.
With you in the fight,
Rashida
