Our latest dairy farm investigation uncovered something deeply heartbreaking—yet sadly all too familiar. In our investigator's own words:

When we walked over to the maternity pen, we noticed a calf had just been born. The mom was licking the still-wet baby while a few feet of slick, wet placenta hung out of her. The calf was attempting to stand but kept falling over. They carted off the calf while mom watched. Mom seemed reluctant to go into the parlor and kept looking at her calf in the cart behind the gate in the corner.

It takes extraordinary courage to bear witness to scenes like this. Our investigator took on this assignment not just to capture what was happening but to build a case for change that no one can ignore.
