I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this headline,
John:

The Trump administration is now trying to rescind the Environmental
Protection Agency’s landmark “endangerment finding,” the scientific basis
for regulating climate pollution, according to The New York Times.^1

On top of the recent announcement of plans to eliminate the EPA's
scientific research arm and fire climate scientists, now Trump could
entirely end the EPA's ability to protect people and our planet from
climate change.

We can't let this happen, John.

The EPA is being dismantled. We must act.
To: John [[email protected]]

I’m furious — and I know I’m not alone,
John.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced plans to eliminate its
scientific research arm and fire hundreds of chemists, biologists,
toxicologists, and other scientists.^1

These are the people who study the air we breathe, the water we drink, and
the ecosystems we depend on. They research how wildfire smoke harms our
lungs. They investigate how fracking pollutes our water. Their work
provides the foundation of climate policies that keep our communities and
wildlife safe.

John, the
EPA's research directly threatens the fossil fuel industry’s ability to
rake in billions in profit — and that’s exactly why the Trump
administration is pushing to dismantle it.

[ [link removed] ]We can’t sit by while climate science is silenced. That’s why we’re
calling on Congress to do everything it can to stop these reckless attacks
on the EPA.

Without this research office, the EPA would lose its ability to assess the
impact of pollution on public health and the environment, essentially
gutting the agency’s mission at its core.

It’s still unclear how many scientists will be fired — which means we
still have time to act.

the country stand with climate scientists and the EPA.

Corporate greed should not stand in the way of lifesaving climate
research. So please, add your name today.
