- This was one of the most competitive and consequential races in the country last year. Political experts already rank CA-27 as one of a handful of races that could decide control of the House majority.

- A Republican challenger recently entered my race with a day-one endorsement from the GOP incumbent I defeated in November, Mike Garcia. Republicans spent over $15 million to protect Garcia and attack me – we expect more outside spending in my first race defending this seat.

- If the majority of supporters reading this email gave $1 to rebuild my war chest today, we’d send an unmistakable message of strength when all eyes are on our race.
