Last month, I put out a survey to hear directly from JanePAC supporters on a critical question: Do you believe Democrats in Washington are doing enough to combat the climate crisis?

The response was overwhelming and crystal clear: NO.

And that should be a wake-up call. A new Harvard poll just confirmed what so many of you have been feeling: The Democratic Party’s approval now sits at a dismal 40%.

Think about that for a minute. Trump is systematically dismantling decades of environmental protections, stripping away our basic rights, and eroding the foundations of our democracy day after day.

This should be the moment when Democratic Party leaders in Washington step up with clarity and conviction. But too often, the response has felt cautious or fragmented — not the bold, unified vision this moment demands.

Still, I am filled with hope because of what I heard from supporters like you in our survey. Over and over, you pointed out that corporate lobbyists are the ones standing in the way of climate progress — and the only way forward is to elect bold climate candidates who won’t bow down to the fossil fuel industry.

That’s what JanePAC is all about. Together, we’ve already helped elect 170 climate champions nationwide — not just because they have a “D” next to their name, but because they’re bold, principled, and willing to fight for our planet and our democracy without taking a penny from fossil fuel interests.
