Dear John,
There’s a reason grassroots campaigns like ours are winning across the country: our proposals match the needs confronting our communities, and the boldness of our goals meets the urgency of this moment in history.
We the People are ready for change—and we have made it clear, in no uncertain terms. Victories by Jamaal Bowman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Mondaire Jones have made New York the home of Congress’ most progressive Members.
Can you contribute $27 today to help us give San Francisco a voice to match?
While Nancy Pelosi and other establishment candidates continue to equivocate, we’re advocating for massive long overdue systemic changes.
Two years ago, we proposed ending qualified immunity. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) proposed a bill this spring to do exactly that. I’ve been advocating for the End Racial Profiling Act—which Pelosi still refuses to support—for over a decade.
Why is San Francisco represented by a voice showing up a decade late for civil rights? Pelosi continues to refuse to invest in alternatives to predatory policing, as we and the movement for black lives have long proposed.
Do you want a voice in Congress who stands with the movement, or one who stands—like Nancy Pelosi—in its way?
Just months ago, the conversations we're all having every day—about issues from police violence and accountability to predatory banking and institutional bias—were considered “radical.” But today, our nation is finally waking up and acknowledging the brutal realities of systemic racism.
While many of us have been speaking up for years, more join us every day. Today offers an incredible opportunity to expand awareness, educate, and invite others to join our movement for intersectional justice.
Together, as we continue these important conversations, we’ll learn from each other and build a consensus for fundamental change. Can you help us continue to build for November?
We’re excited to unseat the entrenched politicians who’ve impeded progress for so long.
Thanks for standing with us!
Shahid
