Hi John,
The autism community has come a long way since the first 5K in
Potomac twenty years ago and thanks to our supporters over the years,
Autism Speaks has been able to help hundreds of thousands of people across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan. We do this
through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance
of people with autism; and advancing research into causes and better
interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.
Join us by running or walking the Autism Speaks Virtual 5K on
Saturday, July 4, wherever you are, to show your support for people
with autism. Your fundraising efforts will empower our work to promote
solutions for the needs of people with autism and their families
including providing for those in urgent need of resources right now
and will support our continued commitment to create a kinder, more
inclusive world.

Every great race comes with great swag. By signing up for the Autism
Speaks Virtual 5K, you will receive this Running on Kindness t-shirt and puzzle piece
medal featuring a spectrum of colors signifying the diversity of
perspectives and experiences of people with autism.
Whether around your neighborhood, on a treadmill or in your local park
(maintaining safe social distancing recommendations in your region),
we look forward to seeing our community come together to support the
autism community.
We hope to see you (virtually) on race day! Share all of your
pre-race prep, finish line selfies and inspirational videos with us on
social media. Tag @AutismSpeaks and use hashtag #RunningOnKindness.
Thank you for your support.
