The solicitations prove to be another example of the Trump Administration's attempt to scare providers into not engaging in DEI work or serving immigrants, and continue to demonize the communities most at risk.
We are concerned about the following:
The deadline to submit proposals is incredibly tight. This short timeline will increase the administrative barriers for service providers applicants.
Updates to the solicitations include encouraged collaboration with law enforcement or immigration enforcement, which will put all survivors, but especially immigrant survivors, in danger.
New prohibitions will further reduce access to services for marginalized communities, including Black and Brown people, immigrants, and LGBTQIA+ people.
FNUSA encourages providers to be thorough in their review of the solicitations as you prepare for future funding opportunities.
