Donald Trump is reaching new lows in desperation and delusion as he desperately tries to distract the public from his "ain't-goin'-away" Epstein scandal. In a wild Oval Office presser, Trump opted to go back to his old favorite playbook and accused former President Obama of committing "treason" and also "every word you can think of" (wtf?) during the 2016 (!!!) election by way of the Russiagate investigation. In cause you were worried it wasn't laughably obvious what he was trying to do here, Trump ended by saying, "so you want to take a look at that and stop talking about nonsense,” which means "stop talking about Epstein." His attacks earned him a rare public rebuke from President Obama, who completely ripped apart Trump's conspiracies. At the heart of the issue is a bullshit report from DNI Tulsi Gabbard that claims President Obama "manufactured and politicized intelligence" against Donald Trump and recommended criminal prosecution, but Obama pointed out that Gabbard's report doesn't actually contradict any of the conclusions that the Obama team came to in 2016 and that the person in charge of that investigation was none other than current Secretary of State Marco Rubio. It takes a lot to get President Obama to respond to Trump's nonsense, but setting the record straight really hammers home that this is nothing but yet another distraction tactic.

Oh. After having lost control of the House floor thanks to an internal GOP rebellion over the Epstein files, Speaker Johnson took his ball and told everyone to go home. “It is extraordinary that they’re so scared shitless over these Epstein files, that they’ve done something that I’ve never seen happen before. I mean, basically they just shut down for the week,” said House Rules Committee ranking member Jim McGovern. Hot off of passing a catastrophic tax cut bill that will kick 10 million people off their healthcare and add $3.4 trillion to the debt, Congress will now take a nice six-week vacation. Somehow, we don't see a lot of Republican town halls happening during this time. Just a wild prediction.

Migrants at ICE jail in Miami made to kneel to eat "like dogs," report alleges
The new millennium opened with America constructing secret torture camps all over the world; two decades later, the torture camps are being established here at home in the United States. A new report into the appalling conditions at ICE camps alleges that migrants at a Miami immigration jail were shackled with their hands tied behind their backs and made to kneel to eat food from styrofoam plates “like dogs." At the Krome North service processing center in west Miami, female detainees were made to use toilets in full view of men being held there, and were denied access to gender-appropriate care, showers, or adequate food. The jail was so far beyond capacity that detainees were held for more than 24 hours in a bus in the parking lot. Men and women were confined together, and unshackled only when they needed to use the single toilet, which quickly became clogged and made the entire bus reek of human feces. When the group was finally admitted into the facility, they said, many spent up to 12 days crammed into a frigid intake room they christened la hielera – the ice box – with no bedding or warm clothing, sleeping instead on the cold concrete floor. These are the kinds of horrifying stories of dehumanization, inhumane treatment, and sadism that precede mass acts of ethnic cleansin,g and it's all being perpetrated right in front of our noses.

Videos expose ICE lock-up inside 26 Federal Plaza
Newly released videos secretly taken inside ICE's mysterious prison on the tenth floor of NYC's 26 Federal Plaza building confirm that inhumane treatment and abuse is a feature, not a bug, of ICE's super-charged mass deportation machine. The clips, shared with THE CITY by the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC), show one of several holding rooms on the 10th floor, where around two dozen men were held inside a fluorescent-lit room, some lying on the ground covered with aluminum emergency blankets while others sit on benches. “Look how they have us,” the person filming says in Spanish, “like dogs in here.” In a separate voice memo, the man recounted how "They haven’t given us food, they haven’t given us medicine. We’re cold. There are people who’ve been here for 10, 15 days inside. We’re just waiting.” ICE argues that the ad-hoc detention center is a “ICE law enforcement office," and thus exempt from rules allowing elected representatives to inspect the facilities; phones and other devices have been barred from the prison, which is why nobody has seen what's actually going on up there until now. It's clear at this point that ICE is willing to lie about anything while picking and choosing which laws and regulations they choose to obey and enforce while it suits them. A lawless agency orchestrating mass human rights abuses on an industrial scale.

Masked ICE agents shatter car window to arrest man outside grandchild's daycare
America's Gestapo traumatized a daycare and triggered a soft lockdown after shattering a man's window minutes after he dropped his child off at school. Mahdi Khanbabazadeh, 38, is married to a US citizen and has applied for a green card, but that didn't stop ICE from using excessive violence to throw him in a detention center and getting into a heated argument with one of the teachers at the school. Federal regulations once prevented ICE from making arrests at schools, but all decency and empathy have been thrown right out the window by Trump and his fascist goons.

Just days after CBS abruplty cancelled the show of prominent Trump critic Stephen Colbert, Trump bragged that the future owner of the US TV network CBS will provide him with another $20 million worth of free advertising and programming, on top of the $16 million that the company agreed to pay Trump to settle his baseless lawsuit over an edited Kamala Harris interview. Guess no price is too high to secure Paramount's $8 billion merger with Skydance — who needs journalistic integrity and free speech when there's profits to be made?
