The Trump administration has announced that the U.S. will withdraw from UNESCO at the end of 2026.

 

The reason? Officials say the agency is too “ideological.” But what UNESCO actually does is support education, science, cultural heritage, and global cooperation.

 

The U.S. only just rejoined UNESCO in 2023 under President Biden. Now we’re stepping back again.
