When ICE showed up near Dodger Stadium in June, the Dodgers didn’t hesitate. They confirmed that federal agents had requested access to the stadium’s parking lots — and the team leadership denied it.

In the face of escalating immigration raids across Los Angeles, the Dodgers stood up for their community and made it clear: Ballparks are for fans. Not federal enforcement.

Now, we’re calling on every other Major League Baseball team and stadium to follow the Dodgers’ lead and do the same.

ICE and CBP have been conducting aggressive, often secretive operations at schools, churches, workplaces, and now near sporting venues. That’s why we’re urging all 29 U.S.-based MLB teams to publicly reject any request from ICE or CBP to access their stadiums, parking lots, or facilities.

It might sound trivial, but this isn’t just about policy — it’s about what kind of country we want to be. Baseball is America’s favorite pastime, and it’s long been a symbol of joy, tradition, and belonging. Everyone should be able to enjoy a game without fearing detentions or violent raids.
