The fact is, three polls have now come out showing me with only a razor-thin lead over my opponent Jack Ciattarelli — with more than enough undecided voters to swing the race in his direction.
Even worse, the latest poll found that the constant lies being spread about me by Ciattarelli’s super PAC actually work, Friend. When enough voters hear these false attacks — and the attacks go unanswered — the data shows that Ciattarelli can pull ahead.
Here’s what this all means:
1) We don’t need to panic. I’ve spent my life running toward tough fights — and I’ve spent my career in public service winning one tough race after another. I’m ready for this challenge.
2) We can’t get complacent. We need to reach out to every voter we possibly can and make sure they know the truth about my record and my vision for New Jersey’s future. And we need to make sure folks know my opponent’s agenda, which is to support every single move Donald Trump makes no matter how much it hurts New Jersey families.
Friend, I’m going to be honest with you: fighting back against the attacks we’re facing, holding our opponent accountable for his record, and spreading our positive vision for the future will all take resources — more resources than we currently have.
So that’s why I HAVE to reach out to this grassroots team and ask for support. We’re locked in an incredibly competitive race, and the data is black-and-white that if we sit back and let Ciattarelli’s MAGA backers attack us without fighting back, we may lose this race.
