I get the sense it wouldn’t actually change daily life for most of us at this point. When all of the UAP news was a thing, most people just kept going with their lives. The fact that there are aliens out there isn’t going to change the fact that all of us have bills to pay
There was certainly an abnormal amount of stress, but we also kind of shut off the part of our brains we use for interacting with people for a couple of months. Some of us never even turned it back on. That’s definitely going to have consequences.
