Paramount announced last week that they are canceling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, CBS’s highest-ranking show, after 33 years on the air. Just three days earlier, Colbert criticized their $16 million “settlement” with Trump to approve their merger with Skydance Media.

Let’s be clear: Both the settlement and Colbert’s cancellation are blatantly political. Paramount is showing its willingness to comply with Trump’s efforts to silence his critics, and Trump cheered Colbert’s cancellation on Truth Social.

America needs Stephen Colbert's voice now more than ever. CBS needs to know that the public is watching and that we won’t allow them to give in to Trump’s demands.
