We can’t let Trump get away with acting like a king or dictator.
John,
Last week, CBS announced the cancellation of The Late Show just three days after host Stephen Colbert criticized parent company Paramount for bending the knee and agreeing to a $16 million settlement with Donald Trump.
CBS claims this was a purely financial decision, but that seems unlikely: The Late Show has been a flagship show at the network for three decades and has notably higher viewership than other late-night talk shows.
This decision appears purely political, and it’s yet another sign of Trump’s authoritarian behavior in his second term.
This president thinks he can attack and silence anyone, from the courts to the media. We can’t let him get away with it.

If CBS goes through with this, it would set a dangerous precedent for the rest of Trump’s term and create even more fear of repercussions for criticizing the president across our society.
Trump thinks he can act like a king or fascist dictator, destroying the separation of powers while eroding our freedom of speech.
Let’s prove him wrong. Sign on to make your voice heard →
