Team — this is a big deal.

On July 1, a major win for voters in Mississippi went into effect: House Bill 1419 is now law.

It blocks local officials from making last-minute polling place changes within 60 days of an election, unless there’s a real emergency.

That may sound simple. But in Mississippi, it’s a game-changer.

For years, voters — especially in Black and rural communities — were blindsided by sudden polling location changes, often to buildings that weren’t even ADA-compliant. These weren’t accidents. They were tactics to suppress votes and silence voices.

Now, voters have stronger protections. And that’s exactly the kind of work Groundwork Project PAC was built to support.

We back pro-democracy, pro-elections candidates across the Deep South, Plains, and Appalachia; leaders who fight for fair access and real representation. And with municipal elections on the horizon this November, we’re not letting up, and we need your help to do it.

We’re powered by people across the country chipping in what they can. Will you donate $10 to help power the fight in Mississippi and beyond?

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Thank you.
