When it comes to protecting Maryland families, I don’t back down.

The Trump administration tried to put dangerous, illegal machine-gun conversion devices back on our streets. These devices, called Forced Reset Triggers, turn ordinary guns into weapons of war, capable of firing 20 bullets a second. They’ve been used in mass shootings and violent crimes across the country.

We sued to stop it and we won.

Thanks to our lawsuit, the federal government has now confirmed:

🚫 No Forced Reset Triggers will be returned to Maryland

🚫 No new sales of these devices in our state

🚫 No flooding our neighborhoods with tools of mass violence

This is a major victory for public safety. And it shows what’s possible when we use the law to stand up to reckless federal overreach.

But our work isn’t done.

There are still threats to our communities, from illegal weapons to reckless rollbacks of health, housing, and education protections. And I’m going to keep using every tool available to keep us safe.
