The PA budget is more than two weeks late, and school and county administrators say they’re getting worried about missing payments from the state.

Every day of delay means it’s more likely that community violence prevention programs won’t be able to maintain their staffing and lifesaving work.

Last week, the PA House advanced a state budget that includes $76.5 million in violence prevention funding with bipartisan support. This is a huge win for violence prevention advocates, but the budget still needs to pass in the Senate.

With this much at stake, we can’t afford to let the pressure off now.
