Last week, CBS announced that they are ending Stephen Colbert’s “The Late Show.” The shock announcement came only three days after Colbert’s on-air criticism of Paramount, CBS’s parent company, for their $16 million settlement with Trump.

Colbert is unafraid of calling out Trump and MAGA Republicans on his show – and now, the timing of his cancellation is raising serious questions.
 

Not only is the timing suspicious, it comes when Paramount is seeking approval from Trump for a billion-dollar merger. Bribery is not out of the question.

If Colbert’s show was cancelled because of pressure from the Trump Administration or a show of good faith to Trump by Paramount, it would be an unprecedented and targeted political attack on free speech.
