Leyla kindly shared with us recently why she became an SAS Member, and why her connection to the ocean inspires her fight to protect it. "I have always loved being in or near the ocean. For me it's about being close to nature, the humbling effect that it has and the pure escapism I feel when I'm in the water. When I'm surfing, I don't think about anything other than the present moment. It's also just the best feeling when you catch that wave. ![]() Whether you’re a surfer, swimmer, paddler, waterside walker or more, we can all relate to Leyla’s story about how our wild waters provide us with so much. 🌊 But sadly, our blue planet is under threat, and you’re not alone in wanting to do something about it. Surfers Against Sewage members are people just like you, fed up with plastic waste, sewage spills, and empty political promises. We’re a community of people taking a stand. By joining us, you’re doing more than donating. You’re taking action. ✊ |
