Get Your Yard Certified as a Wildlife Sanctuary!

Native plant gardener in her garden, Margaret Fisher

NVBA's Wildlife Sanctuary Program helps homeowners create wildlife habitat on their property.

The largest volume of acreage available for conservation and restoration of healthy green space in northern Virginia is where we live, work and play. Your own property is a great place to start creating habitat for wildlife by planting native plants, removing invasives, and taking other steps to support wildlife.

Learn more about this conservation program online and request a visit from a Wildlife Sanctuary Program Ambassador to get started in your yard!
