Don't Miss Out!

As Independence Day draws closer, we wanted to call your attention to a few amazing historical items we have available.

1. Aitken Bible Set. In January 1781, publisher Robert Aitken petitioned Congress to approve his English-language Bible. Congress appointed a committee comprised of Declaration signers Thomas McKean and John Witherspoon to review his Bible. After the report from the committee, Congress then gave Aitken a ringing endorsement of his Bible which he included in his 1782 printing of what would become known as the Aitken Bible.

When you purchase our Aitken Bible set, you'll receive an original leaf from the 1782 Bible plus a lux leather reprint of the entire Aitken Bible. The chance to own a page from this rare Bible is an amazing opportunity as only 10,000 Bibles were ever printed! We have a very limited quantity and once these are gone, there are no more.

2. 1789 Watts' Hymnal Page. Isaac Watts (1674-1748) is known as the “Father of English Hymnody” and in addition to well-known hymns like Joy to the World and At the Cross, he also set the entire book of Psalms to music. Watts' Hymnal played a significant role in the American War for Independence and in early American education.

When you purchase our Watts Hymnal Page you'll be getting a 4"x6" page in an attractive display folder that includes historical accounts regarding Isaac Watts and his hymnal.

Don't miss the opportunity to own these incredible pieces of American history!
