The results are in – nearly 80% of U.S. Americans agree that the microplastics crisis requires immediate action.
A report published today ([link removed]) by 5 Gyres, in partnership with Grove ([link removed]) , shares results from a groundbreaking national poll exploring U.S. Americans' knowledge and attitudes about microplastics and related solutions. The findings are striking: nearly 80% of respondents believe microplastics pose a threat to both environmental and human health, and they want immediate action. This presents a clear opportunity for policymakers and businesses to lead by implementing solutions that tackle this pressing issue head-on.

Key Findings:
* Awareness of the Issue is High: Just under a quarter of respondents reported that they have never heard of microplastics.
* Yet Knowledge about the Issue is Limited: A significant portion responded with "do not know" when asked if certain statements about microplastic sources were true or false, indicating a gap in knowledge.
* And U.S. Americans Support Action Across the Aisle: The results show strong bipartisan support for legislative policies and corporate action aimed at preventing reducing microplastic pollution.
* Especially When it Comes to Human Health: Concern was particularly high regarding the presence and impact of microplastics in the human body.
