Dear John,
You might remember this photo, with the seahorse and the cotton swab, and you’ve likely seen the dramatic video of the sea turtle with a plastic straw in its nose, or images of wildlife tangled up in plastic bags. Sometimes, if we take in too many of these images, we can become numb to the suffering of the creatures sharing our planet—real animals that have to navigate the dangerous labyrinth of plastic pollution every day, often becoming fatally entangled or injured. You can help stop
this.
These photos haunt us, reminding us why our work is so important. This Plastic Free July, we want you to keep these beautiful creatures in mind and consider taking your plastic-free pledge a step further. Will you join us in standing up to polluters on behalf of planet Earth and all its inhabitants? Can you donate a little bit to help?
Your donation to Plastic Pollution Coalition goes towards:
- Advocating for single-use plastic bans
- Teaching people how to live plastic free
- Taking on polluters in court
- And much more!
This Plastic Free July, please consider donating directly to contribute to a better, more just world. Not only for the sake of all people, but for the creatures we live alongside. Every bit helps, and small donations add up. Thank you in advance for your consideration and
support!
Onward together,

Julia Cohen, MPH Co-Founder & Managing Director Plastic Pollution Coalition
P.S. Become a monthly donor before the end of Plastic Free July and your donation will be tripled for the rest of this year. That’s six months of 3X the impact! |
