John, Thank you for everything you have done to support this campaign over the last year. It is because of you that we have come so far. We’re facing urgent issues that need action now. People across the community know that as their Congresswoman, I will represent their needs from economic recovery and equality to paid family leave, affordable housing and climate justice. The polls are officially closed, but it will be at least a week before we know the final results. Absentee ballots will be counted next week, and the majority of New Yorkers voted safely from home. Going into last night, we knew there would not be a decisive winner until all the mail in ballots are counted next week. But, we’re confident that once all the votes are counted, the people’s voices will be heard loud and clear. I’m ready to fight for you, for the community and for our democracy. My best, Lindsey |
