"SAAF is not just a donor, but a catalyst for change."
SAAF grantee partner WRC, Rwanda
Last year we hired an external consultancy firm to undertake a feminist, participatory evaluation of SAAF. The team spoke to our global grantee partners, board members and donors to get an overall picture of the Fund's impact and achievements.
In this new blogpost published today (in English, French and Spanish) we share some of the key findings. Thanks to everyone who took the time to share their opinions and insights!
It's reassuring to see that the organisations we provide grants to see SAAF as more than just a donor. The efforts we have made to provide support to grantees beyond funding are being recognised and making a difference:
87% of grantee partners surveyed felt that SAAF had helped strengthen their organisation's capacity beyond the grant itself.
92% of those who went on to secure further funding for abortion said that SAAF's support had helped enable this.
94% said that SAAF's support had helped raise their profile and challenge opposition to abortion in their country or region.
SAAF is hosted by IPPF. If you wish to report anything which concerns you about our work, or the work of our grantee partners (such as abuse, fraud, malpractice) please consider using the confidential external incident reporting service IPPF SafeReport.
