Yesterday, at our town hall in Elise Stefanik’s district, there was a little bus rolling around with a Trump sign on it, saying “Proud to be an American.”
I want to let you know the America that I’m proud of.
It’s an America that believes in freedom — not just in the freedoms outlined in the Constitution, but also the economic freedom to live in dignity.
The freedom that’s afforded to us when we are paid a living wage.
The freedom to put food on our table and send our kids to a safe school.
And the freedom to organize and make sure our voices are heard at the ballot box.
We are hosting these town halls because every town, every city, every neighborhood in this country matters. Every corner matters.
No one deserves to be ignored.
