Celebrating Colorado’s 150th Birthday: A Reminder to Submit the Survey on Proposed Pedestrian Walkway at State Capitol by Midnight, July 21st

This is a friendly reminder to please fill out our survey by midnight tonight, July 21st, about the best way to celebrate Colorado’s 150th Birthday in 2026. This survey allows Coloradans to make our voices heard, and share thoughts and opinions on how to celebrate Colorado’s Sesquicentennial.

As a reminder, Coloradans who want to make their voices heard should complete a survey response by midnight on July 21st.

Colorado’s Sesquicentennial celebration is for every Coloradan, and I believe it is important that Coloradans have a say in how the state celebrates this historic milestone, or if we celebrate it at all.

The survey provides an opportunity for Coloradans to share opinions on if the state should proceed with the proposed Colorado 150 Pedestrian Walkway , as planned or at a smaller scale, if the state should focus instead on making improvements to the park without a walkway, if the state should explore other opportunities to  celebrate the state’s art, culture and history in other parts of the state, or if Coloradans want to celebrate the state’s Sesquicentennial at all.

This historic space by the State Capitol is, and always will be, for everyone, so I think it's important that Coloradans are able to voice our opinions about the space and how it can be best used by the most people.
