Summer Hunger Heroes

No Kid Hungry just announced our 2025 Summer Hunger Heroes from nine states across the country, who are doing incredible work to ensure that summer doesn’t have to be the hungriest time of year for kids. This year, they’ve been working to expand summer meals programs in rural communities, broadening the scope of Summer EBT, navigating legislative negotiation and addressing staffing and funding issues. Since the Reconciliation Bill was passed and signed, enacting devastating cuts to the SNAP program, we need our Summer Hunger Heroes now more than ever.

Impactful Partnerships To End Summer Hunger

Collaboration is a tremendous part of our work toward ending childhood hunger for good. That’s why we’re so excited to share that No Kid Hungry recently presented the Jamestown Area YMCA with the 2025 Community Partner Award — recognizing them for their tireless work fighting childhood hunger in New York state. “The best way to make it happen is to just get started,” says John Barber, CEO of the Jamestown YMCA.

Multilingual Partnerships and Summer EBT!

We just launched our partnership with Noticias para Inmigrantes, a communications organization dedicated to providing information to Latinos in the United States. This collaboration is a huge accomplishment, and will ensure that information about Summer EBT is accessible to Spanish speakers and give more visibility to our Spanish-speaking audiences.
