He’s been talking about a business, badges and Bible coalition that brings together business owners, law enforcement officials and spiritual leaders — people not typically associated with Democrats — to drive home how Trump’s immigration policy isn’t just broken, but it’s also bad for the economy and bad for public safety. That’s the kind of broad, cross-partisan coalition Democrats will need if we’re going to flip Trump’s supposed strength into a liability.”
When I ran on immigration during the special election, a lot of people told me I shouldn’t. “That’s a Republican issue,” they’d say. But that’s nonsense.
There is no such thing as a “Democratic” or “Republican” issue. All problems that we face are American issues that we must solve by working together.
Now, I’ve been calling on Democrats and Republicans to work together to pass a bipartisan immigration deal. It’s long overdue that we solve this issue.
As I said here we need an immigration plan that does three things.
Secures the border and deport violent criminals.
Fixes the broken asylum system.
Lets legalize people that have been here for 10 years, and have been working hard and following the rules.

I believe that people of good will from both parties can get together and get this done. Now’s the time to do it.
