This is a big cycle for Iowa. We have an open Governor’s race, a competitive Senate race, and four House races with strong candidates who are working hard.

We’ve also had three special elections so far, and another one coming up on August 26th. So it’s no surprise that political ad spending has already surpassed $3 MILLION this year, more than DOUBLE of what was spent in 2021.

We’re seeing the beginnings of what could become some of the most expensive races in Iowa history. Republicans know that the tides are turning in Democrats’ favor, so you can bet they’re going to spend record amounts to try and defeat us.

As the only organization statewide working to elect Democrats up and down the ballot, we’re ready to go to bat for all of Iowa’s Democrats stepping up to run. That’s why we are working every day to build an organization NOW to counter the GOP’s warchest.
