Friend, I recently visited Sedgwick County Health Center in Julesburg, Colorado. They serve seniors, run the local nursing home and keep their ER open around the clock.
According to the hospital, 80% of their patients rely on Medicaid and Medicare. But now that the GOP's 'Big Bad Billionaires Bill' has become law, Sedgwick will lose 25% of its Medicaid reimbursement – and all of their services might not survive.
Lauren Boebert voted for this. She voted to gut the care her constituents depend on.
I know firsthand how critical accessible health care is for Coloradan families. I fought tooth and nail to get my parents the care they needed when they were both diagnosed with cancer. No one should have to beg for help when they’re sick or struggling – but that’s exactly the reality Boebert just voted for.
As one rural hospital CEO put it: "Where you live shouldn't determine if you live." He's right. And I'll never stop working to ensure our neighbors get the care they need – no matter their ZIP code.
That's why I'm on the road – meeting with hospital leaders, families and local officials who know what's really at stake. But this kind of campaign takes resources, friend. Every trip we take, every ad we place, every door we knock on – it's all powered by grassroots folks like you.
So I have to ask: Will you pitch in $5 or more before midnight to help me beat Boebert, flip this seat and stand up for Coloradans?
