Friend,
We are nearly two years into a live-streamed genocide of Palestinians, with over 58,000 Palestinians killed and over 139,000 wounded. Israel has forced millions of Palestinians to flee their homes across Gaza and the West Bank, created the conditions for mass starvation and killings at “aid” distribution sites, and decimated infrastructure, housing, and the environment.
And in this pivotal moment, Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, has released a groundbreaking report that illustrates the web of corporations enabling and profiting from Israel’s apartheid, occupation, and genocide against Palestinians. It shows that corporations across industries – from fossil fuels to finance – are reaping profits from the devastation in Gaza and the West Bank. And all while Israel’s devastation of Palestinian life continues with impunity and ongoing support from the United States.
Here are a few examples:
Chevron extracts fossil gas from gas fields in the Eastern Mediterranean,1 paying the Israeli government hundreds of millions of dollars annually in royalties and taxes and supplying fuel to the Israeli military as it decimates Palestinian land, water, air, and life.
For decades, Caterpillar has provided Israel with heavy machinery used to destroy Palestinian homes and infrastructure like mosques and hospitals. These bulldozers have also been used to crush Palestinians and, in 2003, American peace activist Rachel Corrie to death.
Big Tech companies provide the digital infrastructure that helps maintain Israel’s system of inequality and control. Alphabet, Amazon, and Microsoft provide cloud and artificial intelligence technologies used for data collection and storage, and surveillance. IBM operates the database for Israel’s Population, Immigration, and Borders Authority, which controls the movement of Palestinians. Palantir provides the Israeli military with a range of advanced technologies.
As a member of the Corporate Accountability community, I know you believe in building a world where corporations answer to people – not the other way around. This is a world where everyone has clean air and water, a roof over their heads, and a safe environment to live, work, and play.
But the corporations named in Albanese’s report play a fundamental role in keeping that world away from us. They are propping up and profiting from apartheid and destruction – not just in Palestine, but also around the world.
We need to hold these corporations accountable for the violence they are helping to fuel against people and the planet. Read this report to learn more about the corporations that are complicit in Israel’s genocide. Then, sign up to join our book club Reading Towards Corporate Accountability so we can keep learning and taking action together.
Thank you for being part of the Corporate Accountability community and working towards the world we need.

Corporate Accountability stops transnational corporations from devastating democracy, trampling human rights, and destroying our planet. We are building a world rooted in justice where corporations answer to people, not the other way around -- a world where every person has access to clean water, healthy food, a safe place to live, and the opportunity to reach their full human potential.
