🚨EMERGENCY ALERT: We’re suing.

Rush your gift to help us keep fighting >> ([link removed])

Friend: We’re going to court to challenge the Trump administration’s illegal shutdown of the Job Corps program and all 99 of its centers — a vital resource that provides employment training, health care and housing for over 25,000 young people, most of whom are people of color.

🆘 Job Corps has been a lifeline to students. Now, that lifeline is at risk of being cut off.

But you can help — please rush your emergency gift to the Southern Poverty Law Center to power our time-sensitive work to defend students and families in need. >> ([link removed])

Together, with your rushed donation, we will continue to work around the clock to defend the rights of children, Black and Brown people, the LGBTQ+ community, and all who’ve been targeted with discrimination — as the Trump administration slashes and burns the essential programs that keep students, families and our communities safe, housed and fed. Anaria Cabrera — one of seven plaintiffs we’re representing — had previously obtained her high school diploma and driver’s permit through the Turner Job Corps Center in Albany, Georgia.

She was on her way to success, having just begun the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program at the Center when, on May 30, 2025, the Center’s director announced that it would be closing within 30 days due to the U.S. Department of Labor’s decision to abruptly shut down the program.

Now, Anaria and thousands of others are at risk of being cut off from meaningful vocational training and employment, as well as housing and health care access, with many facing homelessness as a result.

🆘 We repeat: Job Corps has been a lifeline. Help us keep fighting >> ([link removed])

No one should ever have to scramble to survive because of reckless decisions being made by officials without the approval of Congress and without the opportunity for the public to engage.

Our work to protect our communities has never been more important. And with your partnership, we can continue to take the bad actors to court and hold them accountable for their egregious actions.

Friend, please rush an emergency gift today to support the SPLC’s urgent work in litigation, advocacy, policy and public education across the Deep South and beyond. ([link removed])

RUSH YOUR EMERGENCY GIFT >> ([link removed])

Whether we’re defending youth programs, challenging white supremacy, or holding institutions accountable, your support powers the SPLC’s courtroom fights.

Thank you for all you do.
