Did Trump just have the FBI arrest Obama?

No. But if you are one of Trump’s 4 million followers on Truth Social you’d think the answer was yes.

This morning via his Truth Social account President Trump shared a realistic video of FBI agents arresting former President Obama from a meeting at the oval office. It was an AI video but many of his supporters celebrated believing the former president had actually been arrested.

Why is Trump trying and failing to convince his followers that he arrested Obama?

Because his base and the entire nation have been fixated on his coverup of the Epstein files for the past two weeks and he is trying anything and everything to divert the attention of his enraged supporters.

Although it was a stupid AI video today, Trump has already arrested numerous elected officials who have stood up to his administration including the Mayor of Newark, Congresswoman LaMonica McIver (D-NJ), and US Senator Alex Padilla (D-CA).

It’s clear he has no intention of stopping there and the only thing stopping him is the corresponding nosedive in public opinion he’s seen after each public arrest of an elected official. With his approval amongst supporters in the toilet over Epstein he cannot afford this.

In 2026 pollsters are projecting massive swaths of the MAGA base not coming out to vote over their frustration on medicaid cuts and the Trump-Epstein coverup. Trump’s blunders are putting deep red rural districts in play and No Dem Left Behind is supporting candidates running for these seats.
