We’ve talked a lot about winning in Virginia this November — what it will mean for folks across the Commonwealth, the clear rebuke to this lawless and chaotic Administration, and the foundation it will lay for Democratic victories in 2026.
We haven’t yet talked about how exactly we’re going to do it. That’s why I’m writing to you today. My good friend Don Scott is Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates, and he’s at the helm of all of our efforts to hold onto our razor-thin majority this year.
I know Don and his team are already working around the clock to support our Democratic candidates all across Virginia and to prepare for victory — but they can’t do it alone.
Winning the House is so important — without a Democratic majority there, we can’t pass legislation to make people’s lives easier, and we can’t block bad legislation that curtails our rights.
The current balance of power is 51 Democrats to 49 Republicans. If we lose even one race, we could risk our majority.
So I’m asking you today: Will you donate whatever you can to my friend Don Scott’s efforts to win the House? [[link removed]]
These races matter a lot, and Don’s work to lead Democrats to victory is going to rely on support from folks like you who can pitch in and lend a hand.
