Last week, we hosted a Virginia Values Act 201 event where we dug into how this important law broadly outlaws discrimination against LGBTQ Virginians, and many other communities, in their daily lives.

This landmark civil rights legislation goes into effect in just one week, on Wednesday, July 1, 2020! Equality Virginia will continue to provide resources and educational opportunities about what the Virginia Values Act does and who it covers.

While there’s still a long way to go before Virginia achieves full justice and equality for everyone, this law is an important tool for LGBTQ Virginians and other communities to prevent and fight discrimination in daily life.
