In 2019, pro-equality candidates flipped the Virginia House - and then they delivered results. They ratified the Equal Rights Amendment, expanded hate crime protections, banned conversion therapy, and passed laws to protect LGBTQ+ Virginians, especially trans youth. The LGBTQ+ candidates we elected led the charge, and now many of them are back on the ballot. We can’t afford to lose this progress.

During the 2025 legislative session, two of our LGBTQ+ incumbents passed the first hurdle to placing marriage equality on the ballot. But to ensure voters see the measure, they must pass the bill again next year. To protect marriage in Virginia, we have to hold the majority in 2025.
