In 2024, Democrat Derek Tran flipped CA-45 by just 653 votes. That’s just a 0.2% margin in what shaped up to be one of the most competitive and expensive House races in the country.

There’s no question that it’ll be a close race again next year—but we know what works, and we know how to win. Last time around, Swing Left supporters showed up early and often to help flip this district:

All of that work helped send the first Vietnamese American representative to Congress from this district—which has one of the largest Vietnamese populations in the country—and gave Democrats critical momentum to fight back against MAGA extremism.

Here’s what Rep. Tran had to say about it:
