Wildlife Biodiversity in Your Woods
Wishing your woods were a little wilder? Come learn with us!
Join us at Williamsburg Forest on Thursday, August 14th to explore and learn about basic principles of habitat management. At this free workshop hosted by Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District, our private lands biologist and a Maine Forest Service forester will walk you through commercial and non-commercial management techniques you can use in your own woods to improve wildlife habitat.
The workshop runs from 2-4pm. All you need to bring is curiosity, appropriate footwear, and anything else you need to be comfortable for a short walk through the woods. Register today to secure a spot and start thinking of some questions for the experts!
Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and our partners are fully committed to providing an engaging event for all. If you require an accommodation or service to fully participate, please contact Emily MacCabe at [email protected] or 207-287-8000 prior to the event. If you have any other questions or concerns, please reach out! We are here to help and look forward to talking with you.
