I love this photo of my dad and me at my Harvard graduation. He didn’t just chase the American Dream – he passed it down.  Hey, this is Vivek Ramaswamy, and I’d like to share a personal story with you. When I was in middle school, my father got laid off from his factory job at the General Electric plant in Evendale, Ohio. He was one of the hardest workers there, but like thousands of other good men and women, he was laid off without warning. Most people would complain, whine, and stomp their feet, saying, “It’s not fair!”. But not MY dad. He didn’t cry about victimhood or racism. Instead, he picked himself up, dusted himself off, got a new job, and enrolled in night school law classes for the next four years. But because money was tight, he and my mother couldn’t afford childcare. Every day after middle school, my dad would pick me up and we’d drive for 45 minutes to the University of Kentucky across the river. I’d sit in the back of his law school classes every night. Most kids my age would hate the idea of spending all day at school just to go to ANOTHER school at night. But not me. I was FASCINATED, learning about the Constitution, the principles of law, and Supreme Court decisions. So why do I even share this story with you in the first place? Because that time in my life taught me a lesson I’ve never forgotten: Every hardship is an opportunity – if you’re willing to work for it. That mindset is the foundation of my campaign. I don’t believe in a culture of victimhood. I believe in the American Dream. I believe in merit over DEI. In hard work over handouts. In family, faith, and responsibility, not grievance and blame. Right now, we have a real opportunity to reverse Radical Leftist policies. An opportunity to show how the nuclear family is the best form of governance. An opportunity to showcase how capitalism lifts people out of poverty. An opportunity to reinstate the American Dream. And I know that you’re one of the dedicated American Patriots who believe in that vision. That’s why I need you with me, Friend. Don’t let our nation turn into one full of victims.
