Behind closed doors — and in plain sight — Republicans in Congress and the Trump administration are making devastating choices, John. Ruthless ones.
They’re stripping health care from 17 million people. Slashing food assistance so severely that parents are forced to choose between paying rent and putting dinner on the table. Cutting school lunches — not out of necessity, but because a child lives in the “wrong” ZIP code.
And as wildfires rage in the west and floods rise in the east, they’re hollowing out FEMA. They’re tearing apart immigrant families — our neighbors, our coworkers, our loved ones. All while handing billionaires, corporate CEOs, and Wall Street donors another windfall.
This isn’t negligence. It’s cruelty by design. And we’ve had enough.
On Saturday, July 26th, people in all 50 states and Washington D.C. are taking part in the Families First Day of Action, a nationwide day of events, rallies, and marches.
It's our moment to say what should never have needed saying: our families come first. Not billionaires. Not corporate lobbyists. Not the politicians who sold us out.

From small towns to big cities, families are rising up on July 26th — because we know exactly what’s at stake, John, and we know what side we’re on.
We’re standing together for a future where every child is nourished, every person has health care, and every family, no matter their ZIP code or immigration status, can live with safety, dignity, and hope.
While Republicans and the Trump administration make it clear who they’re fighting for, it’s on us to show the country who we’re fighting for — and who we refuse to leave behind.
